CONCERNED voters raised questions about the advanced poll results after claims surfaced that parliamentary registration officials were forced to re-open ballot boxes yesterday.

It was alleged that the wrong information was accidentally placed in some of the boxes.

Although Parliamentary Commissioner Errol Bethel could not be reached, PLP Fox Hill MP Fred Mitchell said there was no need for concern. He noted all transactions involving the boxes were done with PLP, FNM, and DNA officials present.

He said: "It was a matter of some of the envelopes being placed in the wrong boxes. The Parliamentary Commissioner wanted to transfer those envelopes to the right boxes for the right constituencies in preparation for Monday.

"I can say though, that I don't think there is any funny business. All exchanges were done in the presence of each party's representative."
