Shortly before noon today, NAD’s Operations Center received reports of an accident that occurred on the stage two construction site at Lynden Pindling International Airport.
Two construction workers were injured and subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance. The full extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
“Safety is a priority for both NAD and our general contractor, Ledcor/ Woselee. Until today, we have had an excellent safety record on the stage two construction site with zero lost time accidents. We will be working closely with all contractors and sub-contractors involved to investigate and determine the cause of this unfortunate accident,” said Stewart Steeves, President & CEO, NAD. “We are keeping the injured workers and their families in our thoughts and prayers.”

I don't know whats worse, the news coverage of this accident or the response time of the emergency services. Being a worker on this site it's scary to know that if I'm injured I too will lay there for an hour and a half before I am moved by an ambulance. That is pathetic.
