GRAND Bahama recorded its fifth murder when a 46-year-old man was stabbed to death in Eight Mile Rock.

The victim, a resident of Hanna Hill, EMR, was knifed in the back and was unresponsive when police and EMS personnel arrived at the scene shortly after 10pm on Monday.

Meanwhile, the man who was shot and killed at his home in Nassau has been identified by a police source as Lavardo Dean.

The 35-year-old, who was found on Monday, pushed the country's murder count to 53 for the year.
