A BAHAMIAN real estate firm has been named to 'Who's Who' in luxury real estate, the award-winning network that has property brokerages in 80 countries.

Mario Carey, of Mario Carey Realty, said: "It is a great honour for us as a relatively new firm founded less than five years ago to be admitted to the LuxuryRealEstate.com site for listings and referrals, and to be named to the site's Who's Who list.

"LuxuryRealEstate.com is to the real estate industry what the Oscars are to film, the best of the best. And in such a competitive real estate environment, that kind of recognition of our professionalism and expertise means a lot. It is a great asset in positioning our clients' properties, placing them among the largest collection of luxury listings in the world."

According to the LuxuryRealEstate.com site, there are more than 36,000, $1 million-plus listings from approved members.

Mr Carey's firm has been admitted to the site that has been a regular top award-winner.

Only a handful of firms - fewer than 2,000 worldwide - are ever admitted. Once included, they are among those whose listings will be exposed to the two million page views per month that the site attracts.

Mr Carey's admission was paved by luxury sales volume and completion of formal courses in luxury marketing at a New Orleans conference, one of many he has attended during his 25-plus years in real estate.
