It has been a long road for American Idol contestant Hollie Cavanagh, but her elimination last week means no spot in the top three for the season finale.
Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips are the remaining contestants battling for the top honour.
This week, each finalist will take the stage to perform three songs. One song will be a judge's choice, another from Jimmy Lovine and an additional song of their personal choice.
Hollie'e end came after she failed to impress her fans with her rendition of the Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me." Shortly after the show, in a television interview, she said it was tough, but she cannot complain. Her time on the show was something she was really proud of, she said.
"Last year when I went home, I was really down and I was not feeling so great. I only made top 40 last year, and to come back and make top 4, I can't really be sad. It's like an amazing thing for my future."
"Even just looking back on the video they showed of last season, I mean I have seen such a growth. I was so timid and not so confident and now I have been getting on the stage every week and singing in the front of millions of people. I wouldn't say I have been trying to please everyone, but I have always been trying to get better and better," she said.
In Ya Ear asked a few American Idol viewers to weigh in on their thoughts about who may walk away with the winning title.
One fan of Jessica Sanchez said she sees a bright future for the Idol hopeful.
"I don't know which one I'm more anxious for, Jessica's victory or the grand finale on the whole. I am a consistent American Idol fan and like most of the people that watch the show, I can see that it is evident that Jessica will indeed win the entire competition. A blind and deaf person would also agree with me, that is how serious it is. Once she wins this competition, I can see her doing big things. I don't see her becoming one of those Idol winners that you never hear anything about after they win," said the fan.
When speaking about Joshua Ledet, another fan of the show said she can tell Joshua always sings from his heart.
"What can I say about the soul man: He is getting better with every performance he brings to the stage. I did not see him making it this far in the competition, but I wish him luck and if I'm rooting for anybody to win, he would be my pick. I like him simply because he appears to be so gentle and kind hearted," she said.
One fan of contestant Phillip Phillips said she cannot recall Phillip ever being in the bottom three, which is proof to her that he has the potential to win.
"He has proven himself to be one of the best, even the judges would tell him that every now and again. It wouldn't be a surprise to me if he walks away with his well deserved winning title," she said.
