FREEPORT - Two men were charged in Freeport Magistrates' Court on Wednesday in connection with armed robbery and housebreaking at Hudson Estate.
Oval Ira McIntosh, 38, of Hanna Hill, Eight Mile Rock, and Darren Thomas Pedican, 36, of Freeport, appeared in Court One before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson.
It is alleged that on April 7, at Freeport, Grand Bahama, the accused men, armed with a handgun, robbed a female resident of Hudson Estate of cash and jewellery.
McIntosh and Pedican were not required to enter a plea to the charges. They were denied bail and remanded at Her Majesty's Prison, New Providence.
In a separate case, three men and a male juvenile were charged with an armed robbery at Butler's Food World in West Mall Drive.
Thomas Hanna Jr, 28; Harrison Rigby, 25; Freeman Thurston, 24 and a 17-year-old minor were arraigned in Court Two before magistrate Andrew Forbes.
It is alleged that on May 9 the accused men robbed the local food store of cash.
All of the defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Rigby, Thurston, and the juvenile were also charged with armed robbery.
The men were not required to enter a plea to the charges. They were remanded to Her Majesty's Prison until October 3, 2012, for preliminary inquiry.
