WHAT if we became a people of prayer such as never before seen or heard? Let us use our prayer imaginations and envision what life would be like for us if we could truly become a loving and holy nation.
What if...
- Every child knows how to pray from very young and continues throughout the years?
- What if every man interceded in prayer for his family on a daily basis and was a godly example?
- What if every woman was a woman of God and spoke blessings to all in her home and elsewhere?
- What if every educator taught sound spiritual values from nursery to university level?
- What if everyone in the uniformed services prayed for peace and had their prayers answered?
- What if every health professional prayed for healing and we were all made whole?
- What if every business person prayed for the prosperity of all people and it was so?
- What if every parent raised obedient spirit-filled children?
- What if every church was filled with the prayers and praises of the people of God day and night?
- What if every leader in the church, government and civic organizations prayed before every decision was made and executed?
- What if every civil servant felt fulfilled and blessed and showed this in prayerful gratitude?
- What if every tourist who visited our shores joined us in this litany of praise to God and went home talking of what they had seen and heard here?
The list could go on indefinitely. As you become aware of people, places and things that are in need of prayer, join the prayer team.
The only way to know what would happen is to pray for it to be so and work for it to become a reality. To pray and obey could become our new motto as we seek healing for our land. What if God is waiting for us to be more persistent in prayer, consistent in duty, and resistant of evil influences?
What if we covenanted right now to pray for change in ourselves, our families, our communities, islands and our world? What if we responded to God's call to make disciples by truly living and loving as God desires us to do?
What if?
