AUTHORITIES yesterday said five men were being quizzed over the death of Damian Collie, brother of South Beach representative Cleola Hamilton.
The men, ages 28, 22, 19 and two 18-year-olds were arrested, police said, between 10pm on Monday and 12am Tuesday by officers of the Selective Enforcement Team (SET).
Mr Collie, 40, a resident of Nassau Village and formerly of Long Cay was standing outside a business on Soldier Road and Haven Subdivision when a man who was being chased by a group of men ran in his direction on Sunday, October 28. Police said one of the men struck the victim in the head with an object that resulted in his death.
The man being chased was stabbed and taken to Princess Margaret Hospital.
He has since been discharged.
