A CARMICHAEL Road man has been arraigned on a charge of attempted murder.
Bensin Joseph, 29, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez yesterday charged in connection with the attempted killing of Michelet Deal.
It was claimed that on Sunday October 29 he intentionally tried to kill Deal. Around 2am, Deal was attending a party at Lazaretto Road off Carmichael Road when he got into an argument with a man who subsequently attacked him.
Joseph was not required to a plea to the charge due to its nature and was told that he would be remanded to prison without bail.
He was told that he had the right to apply for bail in the Supreme Court. Chief Magistrate Gomez told Joseph that he would be returning to court on February 27, 2013 for fast-track to the Supreme Court.
Joseph was remanded to prison until completion of his trial.
