POLICE yesterday said two people were arrested after they were found with $15,000 worth of marijuana and a high powered weapon.
A 25-year-old man of Bimini Avenue, authorities said, and a woman, 24, were taken into custody by Central Division officers over the find.
The incident took place at around 4.15pm.
The drugs weighed 15 pounds, according to police.
In other crime news, investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding a man responsible for robbing a bus driver on Monday evening.
Police said that a light skinned man, about 5’7” tall, got on the bus armed with a handgun. He demanded cash. He was wearing a white shirt.
The man robbed the bus driver of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
There were no passengers on the bus when the robbery happened.
An illegal pistol was also discovered at Arawak Cay. Police said they found the weapon at around 11.20 am.
No arrests were made.
