POLICE have yet to officially identify the cause of death of a man who is believed to have drowned at the Potter’s Cay Dock yesterday morning.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Mario Johnson, the officer in charge of the Paradise Island branch, the body of 39-year-old Roger Chris Miller was pulled from the water shortly after 9:35am.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded and pronounced Miller dead a short time later.
Florence Miller, Roger’s mother, who was at the scene yesterday said the last time she saw her son alive was earlier that day around 7am.
She said that her son, a licensed fisherman all his working life, had recently returned home after a fishing expedition. Obviously shaken, Ms Miller could only add that Roger was her eldest son, and death was nothing that anyone could plan for.
At the moment, police do not suspect foul play.
