Under the bible-based theme “safeguard your conscience”, taken from 1 Timothy 1:19, Jehovah witnesses are holding four, one-day special assemblies at their Dolphin Drive Assembly Hall, beginning Saturday, November 10.
The Saturday programme will be held in Haitian Creole and Sunday in English.
“Each day we are exposed to situations that could cause us to violate our conscience,” said a spokesman. “That is why the Special Assembly Day programme has as its theme ‘Safeguard Your Conscience.’ The programme has been designed to help each of us give serious attention to how we are utilizing this remarkable gift from our creator.”
The programme will answer seven questions regarding conscience, namely: What is hazardous to the conscience? How can we train our conscience? How is it possible to be clean from the blood of all men? What does our thinking and acting on Bible principles reveal about us? How can we avoid wounding others in matters of conscience?
The sixth question will be directed to young people, probing “how they can bear up when pressured to compromise bible standards”.
The seventh question will discuss “what blessings come to those who follow their spirit-directed conscience?”
The public is invited to hear the public address on Sunday afternoon, “Follow Your Spirit Directed Conscience.” Following the talk, newly dedicated witnesses will be baptised at a local beach, during the noon break. All interested persons are invited to attend.
Admission is free and no collections will be taken.
