Two men injured, boy shot in weekend violence

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after he was involved in a fight with several other men.

According to reports, police received information that a group of men were fighting in the area of Coral Gardens, Freeport, around 3pm on Saturday.

When they arrived police found two men suffering from injuries. One had major head injuries, after being hit in the head several times with a blunt object. He was airlifted to Nassau where he is listed in critical condition.

The other man was treated and discharged.

In a separate report, police in Nassau are investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old boy in hospital.

It happened around 8.35pm on Friday.

According to reports, the teen was at Antonio Drive, Bamboo Town when he was approached by two men known to him.

A fight broke out which resulted in the victim being shot in both legs.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was listed in stable condition.

Police investigations are continuing.
