TWO teenagers are in police custody in connection with the armed robbery of a bus driver and his passengers last week.

Police say around 2.20pm on Friday, the driver of a 16A bus stopped on Carmichael Road, in the area of Bahamas Faith Ministries, to allow a passenger to get off.

The driver told investigators that at this point, he saw two male passengers walk to the front of the bus as if they were about to get off as well.

Suddenly, one of the men approached him with a knife and told him to close the door. The second pulled out a black gun and demanded cash.

The stole $250 from the driver along with a iPod and $40 from two other passengers.

They then fled, heading toward Bahamas Faith Ministries.

Officers of the Southwestern Division (Carmichael Road Police Station) arrested the two teens, ages 17 and 18, a short time after the incident in the area Allen Drive off Carmichael Road.

They are being questioned, as police believe they may have information that is relevant to the investigation. The stolen money and property, as well as a knife and a handgun, were confiscated after the incident.
