Man stabbed multiple times in argument with students

A 29-year-old man is in hospital today after being stabbed multiple times in an altercation with a group of high school students.

According to reports, the victim was walking through Rupert Dean Lane around 7pm with his 17-year-old  nephew, who pointed out a group of C C Sweeting students he said had attacked him the week before.

When the man approached the students, one of them stabbed him multiple times in the back, chest and arm with a six-inch “army” knife.

He was taken to hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

A short while later, police arrested two teenage boys in connection with the stabbing. They are being questioned as the investigation continues.

In other crime news,  two men and a woman robbed a Texaco service station late Monday night.

According to an official police report, around 10pm a man with “rasta-type hair” and a brown-skinned woman entered the establishment, while another man stood by the door.

The woman, who was dressed in a white t-shirt, black hooded jacket and blue pants, produced a handgun and demanded cash.

She went behind the counter and took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.

The woman then attempted to leave the store, but could not get the door open.

The female robber went back to the counter and hit the female cashier in the face several times until she opened the door.

The suspects escaped on foot.

A few minutes after that incident, police received a call of about another robbery.

According to reports, a 48-year-old man had just arrived home when he was approached by a man in a black shirt and black pants with a gun.

The man robbed him of his laptop and $400.

The suspect fled on foot.

Police are also investigating the robbery of Super Wash on Gibbs Corner.

Two men reportedly entered the establishment, both armed with handguns, and demanded cash.

They robbed the cashier of $28 and a customer of $8 before fleeing on foot.
