All elective surgeries at the Princess Margaret Hospital have been cancelled for today and tomorrow, as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

In a statement released by the hospital (PMH) yesterday afternoon, it said that all clinics would be cancelled as well.

“Due to the impending approach of Hurricane Sandy, PMH wishes to advise the public that all elective surgeries have been cancelled for Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26,” the statement read.

“All clinics, both out-patient and speciality clinics, have also been cancelled for Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26.”

Patients who held appointments for these clinics are asked to contact the relevant clinics to reschedule their appointment times, the hospital said.
