AN Eleuthera man accused of stealing more than $40,000 from his employer between 2009 and 2012, had his police bail extended in the magistrates court yesterday until he is formally arraigned in Eleuthera next week.
Branville Nottage, 56, of Tarpum Bay appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez for what appeared to be an arraignment on 16 charges of stealing by reason of employment with the victim being Eleuthera Properties Limited.
However, the arraignment did not take place as the matter was transferred back to Eleuthera for fixture.
Chief Magistrate Gomez did however, extend his bail as Nottage’s attorney, Devard Francis, requested.
According to court dockets, which listed 16 charges in total, it is claimed that Nottage between June 2009 and July 2012, stole $42,818 and 94 cents.
Nottage will be formally arraigned in the magistrates’ court in Eleuthera.
