FREEPORT - A number of illegal immigrants were discovered and apprehended on Sunday in the West Grand Bahama area.
Police Inspector Terecita Pinder said the discovery was made shortly after 5pm when officers went to a residence in Holmes Rock.
She said officers found 10 persons of various nationalities, including Brazilian, Indian, Russian, and Dominican Republican, occupying the residence.
The group consisted of six men and four women, ranging in age from 20 to 46 years.
Inspector Pinder said they were taken into custody and handed over to immigration officials.
Investigations are continuing.
