Wanted man turns himself in to police

FREEPORT – Abaco Police now have a second man in custody who was wanted in connection with a murder on the island.

Kendy Mondesir, 20, of Pigeon Pea, turned himself in to police at the Marsh Harbour Police Station on Thursday.

On Tuesday, 20-year-old Pigeon Pea resident Deon Paul, who was also wanted in connection with the murder, surrendered to police.

Two other men – Wilkenson Garson and Lewis Cadet, both 20, of the Mud - are still being sought by police.

The four men are wanted in connection with the shooting death of 27-year-old Gregory Bain at a motel in Sandy Point, Abaco on Sunday, August 26, 2012.

Garson is six feet tall of medium build, with black hair and brown complexion. Cadet is five feet, 11 inches tall of average build, with black hair and brown complexion.

The men are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information concerning their whereabouts is asked to call Marsh Harbour Police at 367-2536, 367-3437, 911 or 919, or the Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama at 350-3107, 350-3108.

Firearm arrest

A man was arrested after he was discovered with a gun in his possession at a business establishment in Eight Mile Rock.

Inspector Terecita Pinder, press liaison officer, reported that officers from the EMR Division were at a business establishment around 3.20am on Friday when they observed a man acting suspiciously

The officers saw what appeared to be a firearm fall from the man’s waist onto the floor. A black Glock .40 pistol with one magazine, containing seven live rounds of .40 ammunition, was recovered.

The suspect was arrested and taken into police custody. Investigations are continuing into the matter.
