MANY people are out of touch with who they are - their value, talent and purpose. As a result, some end up off the path destined for their lives, taking interests in fields where they are not as successful or happy as they hope to be
“Engaging in self assessment and finding one’s purpose in life can be the key to unlocking wealth and success,” said Sherika Brown, relationship coach and owner of Iron Network.
This Saturday, Iron Network organization will host “I Am Worth It “, a workshop designed to help people discover their unique gifts so they can be on the path to the good life.
Ms Brown said, there are so many people chasing the dreams of others. Instead, she hopes to help people find their own dream and fulfil their God given assignments.
“What I have found out is that a lot of people struggle with feeling insignificant, insecure, and they sometimes seek to counterfeit the dreams of other people all because they do not recognize what it is about them that makes them valuable. All of us were created with a unique assignment, when we find out what that assignment is we will discover our value,” she said.
Discovering one’s path will not happen overnight, neither will it happen during one workshop. Ms Brown recognizes this, and said “I Am Worth It” is a start to this journey. What she said people need to do to find their value and their rightful place in life is start with introspection and an honest assessment.
By digging in deep, individuals will be on their way to finding their calling. “This takes an honest assessment. People must ask themselves what is their passion; what are the things that they love to do. They should also ask what are some of the things that they are usually praised about. They should also try to find out if there is a problem in the world they have a desire to solve. Answering these questions is what will unlock any person’s purpose,” she said.
During the workshop Ms Brown said attendees will also learn why a person does not need to settle for less than what they deserve, and how they can demand their worth. Another key part of the workshop is the segment that will teach people how to stop apologizing for who they are and start embracing their personalities.
“Some people do not embrace who they are simply because of the people around them or the environment they are in. If they are constantly surrounded by people who break them down or are negative towards them, then they will develop a low self worth,” she said.
The Iron Network, built by Ms Brown, is a multifaceted organization specializing in training and developing individuals in the discovery of purpose, and helping them the identify their unique leadership gifts. The network also assists individuals in building quality relationships that will facilitate the fulfilment of both personal and corporate goals.
