A MAN was denied bail yesterday after being arraigned in connection with the recent shooting of a teenage girl outside her home.

Sherving Munnings, 18, of Montell Heights, appeared before Magistrate Saboula Swain on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

It is claimed that on Sunday, September 16, he assaulted a 17-year-old girl.

The girl had just arrived to her home in Montell Heights when she was approached a man who pulled out a gun and shot her after an exchange of words.

Munnings denied the charge yesterday and pleaded not guilty.

He was denied bail and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison, Fox Hill until the completion of his trial in Magistrate’s Court, which begins on October 4.

Relatives of the victim watched as Munnings was escorted out of court to a holding cell in the Magistrate’s Court Complex.

It doesn't have to be but it is always a lack of proper Policing with the right approach to a large bunch of different types of scenarios at different time of the day that facilitate the creation of multiple victims spread in a large amounts of neighborhoods. 24/7 Police Vigilance with a great program or police presence could cause a great impact on crime consequently minimising or reducing crime.
