POLICE shut down four clubs over the weekend for playing loud music.
According to police, the clubs were closed during two separate operations between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Police say the operations resulted in 12 men being arrested, 10 drivers being ticketed and four clubs shut down.
Eight men were arrested for outstanding warrants, four in connection with armed robberies, two for fighting and one for causing harm.
The clubs were shut down for being in breach of their business licence by playing loud music.
Police are also investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old male of Cambridge Lane in hospital.
The shooting reportedly occurred shortly before 1am on Sunday.
Police say the victim was walking through a track road off Baillou Hill Road when he heard gunshots and realised he had been shot in the leg.
He was taken to hospital where he was last night detained in stable condition.
Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding the shooting to contact police.
