POLICE say they have nabbed a man wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery Sunday morning.
According to their reports they picked up a 26-year-old man of Churchill Subdivision who they think was one of two men who robbed a man of an undetermined amount of cash, a cell phone and jewellery in the parking lot of a business establishment on East Bay Street at about 4am.
Their reports revealed that both men were allegedly armed with handguns.
Acting on information, police said they went to a property at West Street where they arrested the suspect and confiscated a number of items believed to have been stolen.
Police are also requesting the public’s help in locating two men responsible for another armed robbery Sunday.
Their reports reveal that at about 3am a woman was robbed of her black 2000 Honda Civic (L/P # 273111) by two men wearing black hooded jackets,when she pulled up to her Sea Breeze residence.
Police are still investigating both incidents and appealing to members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and to always be on the alert. Additionally, members of the public are encouraged to report all suspicious people, cars and activities in their area.
