POLICE want to question a former athlete in connection with fraud claims.
Officers of the Business and Technology Unit are looking for 35-year-old Allen Mortimer, of Brink Street, Freeport, in connection with fraud by false pretences allegations.
Mortimer is described as being of brown complexion, medium build, and standing at 5’6” tall.
The triple-jumper has represented the Bahamas at various international sporting events and was a member of the Bahamas national team.
He finished sixth in the triple jump at the 1996 World Junior Championships in Sydney, Australia, and in 2000 he won the NACAC Under-25 Championships in Monterrey, Mexico.
Police are asking anyone with information that can assist in locating Mortimer to contact police at 919 or 322-3333/4; the Central Detective Unit at 502-9990/1; or Crimestoppers at 328-TIPS.
