A shooting has left a man dead and several vehicles damaged.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 am on Sunday at Yellow Elder Gardens.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was at Lightbourne Avenue off Seymour Street, when he was shot multiple times by the occupants of a white Nissan SD vehicle.

Police are actively investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist police in locating the suspects to contact police anonymously at 911, 919, 322-3333/4, the CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT @502-9990/1or CRIME STOPPERS @ 328-TIPS.

POLICE are investigating a traffic accident that has left a 28 year old man dead, and a 19 year old in hospital.

The accident reportedly occurred around 8:30 pm on Saturday and involved a gray 2002 Nissan Maxima and a black 2004 Kia Sorento.

Preliminary reports indicate that both vehicles were traveling east on Prince Charles Drive, in the area of St. Augustine College Monastery, when the accident occurred.

The driver of the Kia received serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition.
