INVESTIGATORS need the public’s help in finding the persons responsible for the shooting death of a man at Yellow Elder Gardens over the weekend.
According to police, the incident occurred around 1:30 am on Sunday.
Police did not release his identity.
The victim, eyewitnesses said, was at Lightbourne Avenue off Seymour Street when he was shot multiple times by the occupants of a rented white coloured four-door Nissan sedan. Several vehicles were also damaged during the shooting.
Meanwhile, authorities are searching for two men who they believe are responsible for an armed robbery.
In the incident, which happened at around 5:45 am on Sunday, a woman was getting out of her 1998 Honda Accord when she was approached by two armed men and robbed of the vehicle. It took place at Allen Drive, off Carmichael Road.
Authorities are also searching for the persons responsible for causing grievous harm to a 27-year-old man.
The victim was struck in the head with a hammer while he visited a business establishment at Market Street, South of Wulff Road.
The incident occurred at around 4 am on Sunday.
He was later taken to the hospital where he is detained in stable condition.
In other crime news, a woman was arrested after police found her with an imitation firearm.
She was arrested on Sunday after police conducted a search of her black Mitsubishi Lancer in the area of the Pinewood Garden’s Park.
