CONSTRUCTION on a western New Providence office development is expected to begin by October, its broker describing interest in the development as quite overwhelming.

Kevin Cross, the Cross and Mosko Real Estate broker, said that the Windsor Professional Centre, located between the Airport Industrial Park and Charlotteville community aimed to satisfy the demand for high quality commercial space in the district.

“We’re prepping the land right now. We have out all the bulldozers out there and we’re putting in the infrastructure and we’re building up the land. That’s the work going on now. We’re going to be putting up a couple of buildings once all the infrastructure is in. We haven’t broken ground on the actual buildings as yet but that will be coming shortly,” Mr Cross told Tribune Business.

Located opposite Old Fort Bay Town Centre, Windsor Professional Centre, which broke ground on its site work and infrastructure earlier this year, will feature 68,400 square feet of office and upscale warehousing space.

The five-acre site, which is targeting the likes of law firms and financial services companies as purchasers, will feature seven 5,000 square foot buildings, each comprised of two units of 2,500 square feet; two 7,500 square feet buildings, each comprising four units of 1,875 square feet and two 9,200 square feet buildings each comprising of multiple units of various sizes.

“I would say that by October we would be starting to construct the buildings. We’ve got a lot of interest for sure. We haven’t gotten any sales as yet. A lot of people are basically waiting for us to break ground on the buildings before we can actually do anything but the interest has been quite overwhelming,” said Mr Cross.
