Woman raped by men who kidnapped her boyfriend

POLICE have launched an island wide hunt for three men responsible for the abduction and rape of a woman and holding her boyfriend hostage early Sunday morning.

It happened around 3am at Bahama Avenue.

Police have released few details of the incident, but The Tribune understands a woman drove to the East Street South Police Station and told officers she was raped by three men.

According to sources, the woman received a call around 2:50am from her boyfriend who told her to bring $400 to a bar on Bahama Avenue to “save his life.” The man was allegedly being held hostage by three armed men.

When the victim arrived she was approached by the three men who held a black coloured firearm to her head and ordered that she drive them to an abandoned building nearby.

She complied and the suspects took her a short distance away and raped her before fleeing on foot. The victim was left at the rear of a building where she returned to her vehicle and drove to the police station. Police have launched an intensive investigation into this matter and are asking members of the public who might have information about this incident to contact them immediately at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
