TWO parishioners chased and caught a man moments after he stormed into their church during a service and robbed the members.
It happened around 10:45am Sunday in Grand Bahama.
Police say the man entered the church, off Sunset Highway, and robbed one member of a $700 I-phone and the keys to her vehicle and another member of a $40 black bag containing $400 and other personal items.
The thief fled on foot, but was chased by the two members, who captured him in nearby bushes. A brown knife was recovered with the stolen property.
The accused is expected to be charged sometime this week. Investigations continue.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force thanked the people of Grand Bahama for their continued support.

Perhaps the churches will now realize, that they are stakeholders in the fight against the social ills and "luxurious self-indulgence", which affect this country today. The decline and erosion of moral, ethical, or sexual traditions are often viewed as 'criminal activities', however, the learned minds have documented many instances of political, social, and cultural deviances influencing such behaviors. Is this a wake up call, which should be viewed beyond retribution?
