THE FINAL suspect of five people wanted in connection with the attack on Philip “Brave” Davis and his family was arrested yesterday.
The man, 27-year-old Jeffery “Bongo” King, of Yellow Elder Gardens, was taken into custody after he was found in Abaco. He was said to be on the way to New Providence shortly after.
Last Tuesday, four men aged 21, 22, 24 and 25 were arrested for their alleged involvement in the incident which took place at the Davis home at Westridge on Monday, December 9.
At the time Mr Davis was acting Prime Minister of The Bahamas.
Two of those arrested were taken before the courts for allegedly stealing items collectively valued at $100,465,
Tyrone Knowles, 25, and Marc McCartney, 21, were accused of robbing Mr Davis of jewellery worth $93,000, a jewellery box worth $200, a gold Barracca worth $700, an opal top wallet worth $450, a Royal Bank credit card and a driver’s licence worth $15.
They were also charged with robbing Ann Marie Davis of $2,953 and Wilberforce Seymour of $10.
Knowles was additionally charged with illegally receiving a black jewellery box valued at $200 and an assortment of jewellery valued at $2,500.
He was also accused of robbing Avery Johnson of a silver 2010 Honda Accord and a Samsung Galaxy phone. McCartney was charged with illegally receiving an iPad.
Knowles told the court he lives in Exuma and travels to New Providence occasionally. He and the co-accused were not required to plead.
The remaining two men who did not face the court were expected to be arraigned last week, however, authorities have yet to bring any charges against them.

Once again excellent work by the police. Hopefully the courts will not give these guys bail.

In this case the courts will be merciless however if it was a normal citizen they would be out on bail in a month
