POLICE arrested a 32-year-old man yesterday after finding large amount a cash which they suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
The discovery took place around 11am in the Perpall Tract area.
Police say officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information, executed a search warrant at a home and seized more than $200,000 in cash.
The man is now assisting police with their investigation into this matter.
DEU officers also arrested a 51-year-old man after a drug find yesterday.
According to reports, at around 12.30pm, officers on patrol in Pinewood Gardens conducted a search which turned up an undisclosed quantity of cocaine.
The man was detained for questioning.
Shooting
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a shooting that left two men in hospital fighting for their lives.
Shortly after 6am on Thursday, the victims, aged 36 and 27, were standing on Williams Lane off Kemp Road when they were approached by a vehicle.
The occupants opened fire on the men and then sped off.
One man was shot in the buttocks and the other in the stomach. They were taken to hospital by ambulance. Both are listed in serious condition.
