BAHAMIAN Justin Roberts is wrapping up his Middle East ITF tennis tour on a successful note.

This week, teaming up with Arturs Lazdins (Latvia), Roberts advanced to the doubles finals of the Omam International Junior 2 ITF tournament where they won by a walkover against the team of Peter Bothwell (Ireland) and Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands) to win the title.

In the first round the duo defeated Igor Barzasekov (Turkmenistan) and Daniil Mischshenko (Kazakhstan) 7-6 (2), 60 to advance to the quarter finals.

In the quarter finals, they defeated the number 1 seeds Altug Celikbilek (Turkey) and Cem Hizlialp (Turkey) 4-6, 6-3, 10-2 to advance to the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, Roberts amd Lazdins team overcame the team of Denis Borisov (Russia) and Stefan Frljanic (Canada) 6-4, 7-6 (5) to advance to the final against Bothwell (Ireland) and Griekspoor (Netherlands).

Following this tournament, Justin returns to his training base in the Netherlands with his coach Michel Lentjes.
