Melvin Maycock Sr has been given a prison term of eight months for escaping lawful custody five years ago.
However, Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis, after considering mitigating circumstances and the fact that Maycock Sr had spent 18 months on remand awaiting trial, said that his time was considered served.
Maycock's son, Melvin Jr, was given six months as he had only one previous conviction for which he was fined.
That six months was reduced to two after taking into account his four months on remand.
Former Police Sergeant Troy Lewis received six months in prison. Unlike the father and son, he had not spent any time on remand.
The sentences take effect from today's date. Melvin Sr is currently serving a three year prison sentence for possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.
