The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce & Employers Confederation (BCCEC) announced yesterday that its chief executive, Winston Rolle, will demit office on March 31, 2013, to focus full-time on personal business ventures.
BCCEC chairman, I. Chester Cooper, said: “Winston has been steady hands in contributing significantly to the BCCEC, the recently merged successor entity of the Chamber and the Employers Confederation.
“His experience as a past chairman was instrumental in advancing the agenda of the business community. We wish him well for the future as he embarks upon the next phase of his career.”
In making the announcement, Mr Rolle said “As head of the private sector, the BCCEC plays a rather important role in the development of the Bahamas. I am honored to have served as chief executive “.
His successor has been identified and will be announced shortly.
The BCCEC is the voice of the business community. Its main mandates for 2013 are small business development, economic development and innovation and competitiveness. The BCCEC conducts various training programmes through the Chamber Institute, and will shortly launch its mentorship and incubation programme for SMEs.
