BURGER KING (Nassau) is set to undergo a major revamp that will include infrastructure upgrades and an array of new menu options set to launch this month.
Ash Henderson, director of marketing at Restaurant Services, the ultimate franchise owner, told Tribune Business: “We feel that 2013 is going to be a great year for Burger King. We have a number of things in the pipeline.
“Our new general manager, Mario Cash, has been working on staff training, service and food quality to give our guests a great experience. We are also excited about a range of new products, beginning with the addition of three new salads: the Chef Salad, the Mexican Salad and Caesar Salad. Salads will be our first brand new product line in 2013, with other products launching throughout the year.”
Mr Henderson added that infrastructure upgrades were also a part of the Burger King upgrade. He added that while no dollar figure has been put on this, it was all a part of a cohesive plan to enhance the fast food chain’s offerings.
Edmiranda Restaurants, Burger King (Nassau’s) immediate franchise holder, operates five restaurants in New Providence.
“We also intend to do some infrastructure upgrades, both inside and outside the restaurants, to brighten them up and enhance the customer experience. This is all part of a cohesive plan to improve all the aspects of Burger King, whether it be the food, image or the service,” said Mr Henderson.
He added that the upgrades should boost the restaurant’s profile. “I think it will help tremendously. People will know that they will see prompt service, high quality, great tasting food and an overall pleasant experience,” said Mr Henderson.
While the fast food business has had its challenges, given the economic downturn, business levels were beginning to show a turnaround.
“Obviously, with the economic downturn it’s been challenging for everybody, restaurants and retail businesses alike, but in the last year we have seen things begin to pick up,” Mr Henderson said.
