THREE key government ministers give their insight into plans to redefine the country’s economic model in the latest edition of a Bahamas magazine.
Financial Services Minister Ryan Pinder, Minister of State for Investments, Khaalis Rolle and Minister of State for Finance, Michael Halkitis feature on the cover of The Bahamas Investor, the business and financial services magazine.
The latest issue also features a look at the largest single investment project ever seen in The Bahamas, the $3.5 billion, 400 hectare (988-acre) Baha Mar resort on Cable Beach, scheduled to open in December 2014.
Baha Mar president Tom Dunlap talks about the challenges and opportunities arising from a project of this scale.
The Bahamas is celebrating 40 years of independence this year and a feature looks at the milestones the nation has achieved since it gained sovereignty on July 10, 1973.
Other stories cover the recently introduced Bahamas Executive Entity and how Bahamian financial services sector professionals are looking to promote SMART Funds in markets such as Latin America, Asia and Europe.
