VOLLEYBALL

NPVA ACTION

VOLLEYBALL action continued with two men’s games last evening.

In the first game, the Technicians defeated the Saints in four sets 25-16, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-18 behind 14 kills and six digs from Renaldo Knowles. Assisting Renaldo were Kazzi Jean with one block and Graham Bain with two aces and 28 assists.

In the loss, Rajahl Moxey led all scorers with 22 points (16 kills, three blocks and three aces) to go along with four digs and 11 receptions.

Christopher Cash and Jaleel “Corn Bread” Dames assisted with three blocks and 27 assists respectively.

In the second match, Synergy swept the Crimestoppers 25-21, 25-18 and 25-15.

Victor F Grant led all scorers with seven kills and four aces. Jermain Dames had two blocks, Brian Rolle four digs, 15 receptions and Randerville Johnson 13 assists.

In a losing effort, Leanardo Dean led the Crimestoppers with eight kills, one block and 12 receptions. Cravaughan Mckay finished with three blocks and three digs, Devon Mills two aces and Jason Saunders 29 assists.

GSSSA ACTION

THE Government Secondary Schools Sports Association continued its basketball regular season on Wednesday. The following results were posted:

Junior Girls

DW Davis 23, TA Thompson 15

Donna Nottage scored a game high 15 points in the win.

Junior Boys

DW Davis 55, LW Young 40

Charles Coopers scored 16 points in the win.

SC McPherson 43, Anatol Rodgers 27

Stephen Johnson scored 11 points in the win.

Senior Girls

CI Gibson 23, Anatol Rodgers 10

Patrice Ferguson scored 16 points in the win.

Senior Boys

RM Bailey 75, Doris Johnson 62

Dario McKenzie scored 16 points in the win.

Brendon Stubbs scored a game high 20 points in the loss.

CI Gibson 81, Anatol Rodgers 70

Kristen Francis scored a game high 19 points in the win. Theon Williams had 18 in the loss.
