Reflecting The Association of International Banks and Trust Companies (AIBT) has chosen, ‘The Shift Has Occurred. How Are You Positioned?’, as the theme for its upcoming 2013 Nassau Conference.
This year’s conference, set to be held on October 16 at the British Colonial Hilton, aims to reflect the recent upheaval and resulting changes in the global financial services landscape.
The conference will bring together industry experts and leaders in a series of presentations and panel discussions around how both individuals and companies are adjusting to the new landscape and remaining competitive.
The Nassau Conference is a key financial services event, dedicated to preparing and enhancing Bahamian professionals for continued success in the industry. A dynamic and relevant agenda drew more than 200 attendees in the last two years, and underscores AIBT’s ongoing commitment, as founding partner, to the continued development and growth of the sector and its professionals.
The Ministry of Financial Services will once again be a lead sponsor of the event. Reflecting on-going collaboration with industry associations, the Bahamas Association of Compliance Officers (BACO), the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accounts (BICA), and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) will lead discussions on panels reflective of their respective areas of expertise.
Members of BACO, BICA and STEP who attend the Conference will earn 7 CPD hours.
At press time, the Nassau Conference is pleased to welcome the sponsorship of BSI Overseas (Bahamas); Credit Suisse AG, Nassau Branch; Julius Baer Bank & Trust (Bahamas); Societe Generale Private Banking (Bahamas); the Ministry of Financial Services; Syz & Company Bank & Trust; the Private Trust Corporation; UBS (Bahamas); The Winterbotham Trust Company; and Pictet Bank & Trust.
