ARAWAK Homes has already identified two other tracts of land in the Carmichael area where it intends to duplicate its latest housing solution, its president telling Tribune Business: “It’s a level of excitement we have not seen in many years.”
Franon Wilson said: “We have already identified two other pieces of land in the Carmichael area. We have to do our conceptual drawings and everything, and send it in to Town Planning. We hope to have the whole process completed by the time schools open in September.”
The recent launch of the 16-lot Premier Estates subdivision, off Faith Avenue, has exceeded the developer’s expectations, according to Mr Wilson, with more than 300 persons reportedly showing up for the event.
Arawak Homes is offering properties in the Premier Estates subdivision at price points representing a 12-year low. In its latest line of home models, Arawak Homes is offering three bed/two bath residential homes with mortgage repayments starting at $227 per week.
“It’s a level of excitement we have not seen in many years. Every day, especially on weekends, hundreds of people are driving throughout the community looking at the homes. That level of excitement has given us a renewed confidence in the fact that people want to own their own homes,” said Mr Wilson.
He added that Arawak Homes was looking to finalise sales of the remaining lots in the Premier Estates subdivision.
“There are not too many more lots left. From the launch we are still meeting people to move them along in the home ownership process, but that particular community isn’t going to be around very much longer,” Mr Wilson said.
