IN EFFORTS to help raise funds for his new show in October, Bahamian artist Trevor Tucker is hoping to stage a exhibit in October with his latest work. To help raise funds for the show, Trevor held a one-day art sale under the Pavilion at The Bahamas National Trust on Village Road on Sunday. He had a variety of work on sale, including original paintings, canvas prints, ceramic plates and jewellery. All of his work was discounted by 25-50 per cent. Mr Tucker said the tentative title for his exhibition, scheduled for October 3, is “Illuminate.”
“The show in October will focus mainly on my glass paintings which have been inspired by my love for stained glass windows and the way light illuminates them. The effect will be enhanced by back lights allowing them to be appreciated even at night,” said Mr Tucker.
He said the theme for many of his pieces are aquatic and floral based. He has always appreciated the natural patterns found in nature.
