This summer, 30 campers got a first-hand look at the world of media thanks to a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture and the True Vision Media Group.
Through the government’s free summer programme, children aged eight to 15 learned about the importance of media.
During the camp, they were also taught about interviewing skills, writing and presentation skills, how to set up camera equipment and accessories, and photography. Felicity Ingraham, president of True Vision Media, said her company was formed with the purpose of injecting more good news into the national news, while giving young people a greater voice in the local media.
