THE 2013 Gym Tennis Club Members’ Tournament picked up on Saturday after being postponed during the week because of the inclement weather.

Results from matches played are as follows:

• Men’s Singles semifinal

H Saunders def. T Fisher 6-4, 6-2.

• Men’s Doubles

M Williams/K Archer def. A Burrows/W Christen 6-3, 6-0.

• Boys singles semifinal

M Knowles serving from northern end at 6-4, 1-4 deuce before action was stopped due to the rain.

• Ladies singles

M Roberts to serve first point from northern end at 4-6, 3-3 after match was stopped due to the rain.

• Girls single semifinal

S Donaldson serving from northern end at 6-4, 1-0 15-15 after match was stopped due to the rain.

POLLO TROPICAL RIDE FOR CHARITY

AS part of its commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles, Pollo Tropical announced its 4th Annual Ride for Charity cycling event which will take place on Saturday, June 8, bringing together novice and expert cyclists on Grand Bahama for a fun filled and challenging race, with all proceeds going to fund Lupus Bahamas.
