Bahamian songbird JoAnn Callender will lead a cohort of her contemporaries in a weekend concert to celebrate Bahamian composers. The concert is an official event on the 40th anniversary of independence calendar.

Bahamian singer Anuschka Wright will host Jazz In Bloom on Father’s Day. The show will bring together feature performers such Adrian D’Aguilar on bass, Tina Raymond from Los Angeles on the drums, and Christian Sands from New York on keys. There will also be special performances by vocalists Osano Neely, Josh Lynes, and Ralph Munnings on the saxophone. The concert begins at 7pm.

A Weddin’ Tale – A Play by James Catalyn

June 19-29 & July 3–6, 2013

”A Weddin’ Tale” is a humorous look at a Bahamian wedding from start to finish. It’s written by Bahamian writing legend James Catalyn and directed by long standing members of the group Chigozie Ijeoma and Dwain Wallace who between them have a wealth of stage experience
