Carlton Dwayne ‘CJ’ Cartwright, 11, will be buried in style in an independence themed coffin.
Carpenter Andrew Cartwright, who once worked along with CJ’s father, said he was inspired to add the Bahamian colours to the interior of the coffin after reading of CJ’s national anthem story in The Tribune.
“After reading where he sung the national anthem, my mind went on that. So I said it would match up well. So I did the interior work in a light blue so it will all match up,” Mr Cartwright said.
CJ’s father Carlton watched on as the coffin, which is being built in Mr Cartwrights’ garage in High Vista, received its final touches.
