A 20-year-old man became the country’s latest murder victim when he was shot to death in his vehicle early Saturday morning.
It happened around 2am in the area of Robinson Road and Ida Street.
Police say he received a call that gunshots were heard in the area.
When they arrived on the scene they discovered the lifeless body of a man slumped over the wheel of a 1998 Honda CRV.
He had multiple gunshot wounds in the upper portion of his body and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. Police have not officially identified the body however, The Tribune understands he is Ketarrio Ambrister of Chestnut Street, Pinewood Gardens.
This was Nassau‘s second murder in two days and the third in a week.
On Friday, the body of 20-year-old Randy Henfield was discovered outside his home on Apple Street off Wulff Road around 5am.
Police say they received a call that a man was lying on the ground. He was unresponsive. When officers arrived they discovered Henfield with multiple gunshot wounds in his head and shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
At present circumstances surrounding the murder are unknown.
However, police are investigating and appealing to members of the public who might have information on these homicides to contact them at 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.
These latest homicides bring the country’s murder count to 15 for the year.

that is more then one per week.
Come on PLP you said that you would bring down the murder rate and we all support that.
Let's get to work on it.
After all, now that you are not wasting time on BTC you can deal with this.
We would however still like to see the indepentent (by a PLP firm) audit on NIB....

The PLP,S on the island i live were all running their mouths before the election about the murder rate ,,,i remember one going on about the blood on HAI hands ,,now not a peep ..
