FREEPORT – Police have officially released the names of the fourth and fifth traffic fatality victims on Grand Bahama.
Inspector Terecita Pinder said 38-year-old Link C Jones of Seagrape, Eight Mile Rock, has been classified as the fourth, and 48-year-old Keva Pickstock has been classified as the fifth.
Jones was involved in a traffic accident on February 28. He was driving on Warren Levarity Highway, near Bahama Rock, when he lost control of his maroon coloured Chevy Lumina and crashed into a utility pole.
Jones was seriously injured and taken to hospital. He died of his injuries on March 9.
On Monday, Ms Pickstock, a resident of No 72 Sunset Subdivision, was killed when she lost control of her Hyundai Tucson on the Grand Bahama Highway, near the College of the Bahamas Northern campus.
The vehicle crashed and overturned in the pine forest. She was ejected and suffered serious head injuries. She died at the scene. Police believe speed was a contributing factor in both accidents.
