NATION of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan says The Tribune accurately reported the words of a speech he gave at the College of the Bahamas last Thursday, but he claims a spin was put on his words that made them “mischievous” and “suggestive”. The audio recording of the speech can be heard at our website, www.tribune242.com. This was some of our readers’ responses to the story published on the internet.

This guy is always claiming the media is mistaken about what he rants on about. What should be concerning to Christian Bahamians is that he actually was allowed to land his backside on Bahamaland’s soil. Who gave permission for this man to even be allowed to walk through the front of the academic doors of the College of the Bahamas?
From the photos I’ve seen it sure appears like some of our politicians and wanna-be respected Bahamians couldn’t wait to be photographed standing next to this [person] of preaching his twisted hatred while making the most ridiculous accusations?
Little wonder that the Nation of Islam’s core membership world-wide is estimated to be less than 30,000 foolish out of step with reality souls.
Preachers of Bahamaland, why are you so silent over this man being allowed to address our students at the COB? You make noise about certain singers performing in Bahamaland but not the rants of this man?

Farrakan is doing what he has always done. Pandering to racism and ignorance. Bout say black folks can’t go into Lyford Cay. Guess what? White folks can’t go either.

Personally, I don’t see what was offensive about what Farrakhan said because his speech was nothing but disjointed ideas that would take multiple replays and a translator of the inner workings of his mind so as to understand.

Tell this man hush because this paper quoted him just the way he said it.

He wants to sue every country, he hates freedom of Press, tell him go try it in Jamaica! Stand your ground Tribune News Network!!!!!!!

Help me out - I read the story - there’s nothing open to interpretation - he says what he said quite plainly. So where is the grounds to sue???
We have enough problems of our own in this country without importing people who can’t fix the problems in their country to tell us what is wrong here.

He’s suing cause they reported what he said accurately. He thinks they put a spin on his words. The Ghost of Malcolm X...

Stacey Georgina Lowe
What an ignorant man to say only white people are allowed behind the gates. I am white - I unless invited can not go behind the gates.
