Teenager rushed to hospital after nightclub stabbing

A TEENAGER was treated at the hospital following a stabbing incident early Monday morning at a nightclub in West End, Grand Bahama.

According to reports, the stabbing happened around 1am when a 17-year-old male resident of West End was involved in a row with another male. Asst Supt Loretta Mackey said police received information that the teen was stabbed in the back. He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Ms Mackey said police are investigating.

Police are also investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday. Sometime around 9.15pm, two men were walking through a track road off Wildcat Avenue in the Coral Reef Estates area when they were approached by two men.

One of the men had a knife. The culprits robbed the men of their cell phones. Anyone with information concerning these matters is asked to contact police at 911.
