Bahamians rally to produce 'Lion in the Jungle' video

The music video for the newly released single “Lion in the Jungle” by the Illest, featuring Pressure, was filmed on Saturday by a team of Bahamian talent. From Bay Street to Shirley Street, the entire film crew travelled on board the back of a flat bed truck to produce the newest creative product by the leading Bahamian reggae band.

“From our wardrobe to the director, producer, set manager, the entire band, the photographers and our sponsors were all Bahamian. It’s important to acknowledge when Bahamian businesses show their support to help us pull off such an artistic feat. Too often we talk about the lack of support for the industry in the Bahamas, and it’s true, but this was one example where we had a lot of support and it’s important to highlight when our people pull together to make things like this happen too,” said Willis, lead singer for the group.

The video was directed by Lavado Stubbs of Conchboy Films with Neville Smith as director of photography. Others involved in the production included Ria smith, Malyka, Lavado Stubbs and HIS Fashion on wardrobe, Sonia Brown as set manager, photographers Patrick Terrence Robinson and Felipe Major, as well as a host of sponsors and vendors, BTC, Olive’s Mediterranean Cafe and Bar, Virgo Car Rental, Just in Time Trucking, Bertha’s Go Go Ribs, Customs Computer and the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
