FREEPORT – A 14-year-old boy who went missing on Sunday while attending church with his family has been found alive and well.
According to reports, the teen was found sometime Monday afternoon.
Inspector Terecita Pinder, press liaison officer, reported that police received a missing person’s report on Sunday, but would not disclose any further details about the matter.
The Tribune spoke with Pastor Willard Munroe of Candlestick Outreach Centre, where the boy and his family attend church.
The teen, he said, left during church services and could not be located after.
“Apparently, he left during church; sometime they leave to go to the bathroom. The mother thought that is what he did, and after church they could not locate him,” Rev Munroe said. “This has never happened before at the church,” he said.
Following the incident, Rev Munroe called on his fellow pastors to pray for the family and the safe return of the teen. Just after 2pm on Monday, the family informed Rev Munroe that the missing boy had been found.
“I don’t know where he was found. I was in the bank when the mother called me and at the time they were at the Police Station,” he said.
